Project Spark, Xbox One’s create-and-share experiment, is now completely free. Originally a free-to-play model, where users would get the core game and pay for expansions, Microsoft has decided to take it in a different direction. While this might sound like a big plus for gamers, it does come at a cost.

Microsoft and Rare announced today that the planned Conker DLC has been canceled. The DLC would have added Conker as a playable character, along with character and building assets, and even a mini-adventure known as Conker’s Big Reunion. While not a direct sequel to Conker’s Bad Fur Day for the Nintendo 64 (and later Xbox), it was nice seeing Conker back in the lime-light. You can see the trailer below for what the DLC would have brought to Project Spark.

Are you happy that Project Spark is now completely free? Or are you sad to see the loss of the much anticipated Conker DLC? Let us know in the comments down below!
