Amiibo, the new Toys-To-Life initiative from Nintendo, has taken the world by storm. In response to its huge success, 3rd parties are getting in on the action, allowing certain Amiibo to add game modes, costumes, and other in-game items to their games. Capcom is the latest company to open the doors, allowing the Mega Man Amiibo to unlock special features in the Mega Man Legacy Collection when it hits the 3DS early next year.
When a user taps their Mega Man Amiibo to their 3DS screen it will unlock 10 additional stages in Challenge Mode. Challenge Mode weaves together the most iconic stages and moments throughout the Mega Man series. It puts you through your paces in a special time-trial of challenge and skill, allowing you to upload your score to an online leader board. Now you can compete with your friends for virtual Mega Man bragging rights.
