Bloodborne-The-Old-Hunters-1024x576

From Software loves to punish it’s fans with grueling difficulty, massive creatures, and beautiful landscapes. Even our own Josh Brant, co-host of the Life of Gaming podcast, sings the praise of dying over and over again. What more could a Bloodborne fan need? More DLC, that’s what! Enter Bloodborne: The Old Hunters.

Fans of Bloodborne will know the familiar name of the Old Hunters who were mentioned in passing in the original campaign. This DLC will expand on their lore. According to Sony, the DLC will be set in a “nightmare world where hunters from the past are trapped forever”.

They continued on to say that players will “learn the tale of hunters who once made Yharnam their hunting grounds, meet new NPCs, and discover another side of the history and world of Bloodborne”. It sounds like From Software is not taking the easy route on their DLC plans, a trap that so many other companies fall victim to (we’re looking at you Batman: Arkham Knight)! This has to be a relief for those thirsty for a deeper understanding of the world From Software has created.

Outside of the new story, the DLC will include new weapons, costumes, and enhancements. It will even alter former boss battles, giving players a reason to play through the main campaign again. This is DLC done right.

The Old Hunters will grace Playstation 4’s on November 24th, with a brand new Bloodborne re-release including all DLC hitting store shelves December 3. Are you excited to get back into the world of Bloodborne? Or have you moved onto other titles? Let us know in the comments down below!
